Humans have evolved to eat meat and vegetation; just look at our teeth. Our bodies need protein and fatty acids to survive. That's just our biology.

Now, on to your argument.

Main Entry: can·ni·bal·ism
Pronunciation: 'ka-n&-b&-"li-z&m
Function: noun
1 : the usually ritualistic eating of human flesh by a human being
2 : the eating of the flesh of an animal by another animal of the same species.

Notice that cannibalism is defined as the eating of an animal by another animal of the same SPECIES. Cows and humans are not part of the same species.

Whether you like it or not, our bodies have evolved to eat meat as well as vegetables. Do you believe that tigers, dogs, and lions are wrong and should change their diets? Or do you believe that humans are above biology? The fact remains that, like any other animal, humans have biological needs that must be met.

I am a life-long menber of PETA (People Eating Tasty Animals) and nowhere in any dictionary is cannibalism equated with being a carnivore. Cannibalism is eating members of one's own species whereas being a carnivore is defined as consuming the flesh of animals other than from one's own species.

Suggest you get your act together before making silly statements that make you appear very foolish.

true all mammals are one genera, however, all are separate species, the definition of a cannibal is one that eats it's own species. Lions are cannibals, most baboons are cannibals, there are many other species that eat their own kind, yet all are mammals. If you would argue for being vegan, would suggest you educate yourself a whole lot more, or you will get trampled by those with more knowledge than you apparently now possess.

You are also a cannibal for eating things of your own kind. Plants are alive just like you and I'm assuming you eat them. If you don't want to "eat your own kind" then go and eat distilled sand and plastic.

Cannibalism is the act or practice of humans consuming other humans. In zoology, the term cannibalism is extended to refer to any species consuming members of its own kind.

I don't eat my species, so therefore I'm not a cannibal

DISAGREE. we are not cows, they arent even the same species. you need to get an education hun b4 you post ignorance like that. like everyone else said cannibalim is when MAN eats another MAN.

you must be vegetarian or vegan or w/e. i dont understand you ppl. if you dont eat meat then where do you get most of your protein from. protein is an essential part of diet. its not the meat that bad for you, its the way in which its prepared. also, if you dont eat meat b/c it s"cruel" then you need to realize thats just the circle of life dear. lions eat gizelles and ppl eat chicken. thats life....

don't know about your family tree but am pretty sure there are NO cows in my family tree........as we are not related there is no issue, I do not eat a great deal of red meat as I do not like the texture or taste that much.....but as for chicken etc [again none in my family] there are fair game.

Cannibalism is eating your OWN kind period

Animals who eat meat are called carnivores, including humans. Cannibals are men who eat other men.

i'm on the fence....
some animals eat animals, and in my opinion we are animals...so it's natural that some of us prefer meat and it is also natural that others prefer to be vegetarian.

BUT

2.any animal that eats its own kind.

According to the dictionary I guess technically eating animals wouldn't really be cannibalism. But it's still gross!!!
