Usually I like to use a damp towel to clean the floor because vacuum cleaner is too heavy and too noisy to me. Any good ways to clean the floors? Thanks.

I use a swiffer sweeper (the battery operated one) to get the dust, pet hair, ect... I works great. Then I use the swiffer wet jet. Beats lugging around a mop & bucket and dries much more quickly.

a dust mop and murphy oil soap for clean the wood. also orange glo has a great mop and cleaning products for wood floor. DON'T use vinegar on wood floors not good for the finish.
for carpet...love my dyson. really could tell the difference when started using it on my floors.

The old way- material needed- mop cloth, soap and water- one mediam flat bottom rock or brick. thema god sours of elbo grease. Place water on soupand hot water on floor; puy put wet cleling cloth on top of the wet floor, then place rock,or brick. get on you knees and start rubging the foor clean.After you rub clean, rince with cold water and clean cloth. Repeat this untill all the floor is clean. After you finsh you need to cover the clean floor with floor polish.

Try to iRobot Roomba - the little guy is great. I can't use a vacuum - hurts my back.

I use "Floormate" by Hoover, works great.
