A modem usually provides one connection. A router conects multiple networks to one connection. You might be able to use both of them together to provide connectivity to multiple devices, but a lot depends on the design of the wieless modem.

If the wireless modem has NAT and DHCP then the answer is Yes. I suggest checking the product specs of your wireless modem to make sure or asking the OEM.

you can if you get a modem/wireless router combo.. like through verizon. kinda of hard to find whos your provider.
