He's looking up sites for porn, suicide and revenge... what does it mean and what should I do about it? I told his mom and she's distraught and doesn't know what to do.

Get him help ASAP. I had a friend commit suicide this week, and eveyone said that he had been showing no signs of derpession or anything. Confront him about it and get him help before it is too late.

Porn is a normal thing. The other sites are definitely a red flag. Taking away his computer is a little extreme, there are locks you can put on certain websites. Whatever you do don't upset him, find a way to bring it up that isn't condescending or doesn't sound like you were invading his privacy you want to get him to open up without pushing him because if you push him he could do something horrible. If he isn't comfortable talking to you or his mother try getting him to talk to a counselor or another adult he trusts.

GET HIM TO A THERAPIST... STAT!

The porn thing is pretty normal, but suicide and revenge is the sort of stuff that the school shooters look up. Take away his computer or at least his internet acess.

Get off the computer and do this now! Hurry up and you can help him!

Good luck. :)

How about talking to him. Maybe he is having problems at school or with his friends and feels the only place to find the answers is the internet.

As for the porn, its kind of expected that boys will be looking at that stuff.

Just talk to the kid in a non confrontational or judgemental manner. If he doesn't open up just tell him that you will always be there if he needs to talk.

Good Luck.

Time for a long serious talk, starting with a sincere assurance that you both love him with all of your hearts and are concerned and that he can share anything with you, or if he's uncomfortable with that, you'll get him an appointment with a professional he can talk to.

maybe have a sit down with him, one on one since mom apparently is too upset.
speak calmly to him and ask what's on his mind and what's up with the sites he's been surfing. porn not so bad. other sites bad
