Most of my clothes are Hand Wash Only and today I bought a washer that has a hand wash cycle on it. Even though it says hand wash I'm still a little afraid of putting my hand wash only clothes in it. Has anyone done this before that can give me a positive (or negative if you really had one) experience so I won't be so scared to put my clothes in there? I'd be devistated if they ruined! But I really don't have time anymore to hand wash my clothes.

I have a hand wash "gentle cycle" on my washer and I have never had a problem.. I don't have time to hand wash every piece of clothing.. .However, if you are unsure about the garment get some lingerie bags and use WOOLITE detergent and that should work very well... I would also hang or lay these delicate items to dry... The dryer is the real "ruin" culprit.. Good luck

I put all hand wash items in mesh bags when I wash them even tho my washer has a hand wash cycle. You can get larger mesh bags that are really supposed to be laundry bags. This keeps the items from being too twisted up in the agitator. I just put a rubber band around the opening. Just put two or three items at a time in each bag. I wash 3-4 bags full at a time. Then I just dry on the lightest dry cycle I have or just on "air" setting and hang damp. Good luck.

The agitator works more slowly on gentle cycle, with possibly warm water wash temperature instead of hot. Pick out one garment and run it through the cycle and see if it`s to your liking.

Ps......we`ve used it on previously owned machines with no problems. Our current machine doesn`t have it.
