After my first pregnancy, I thought so.
I was induced for the second, so by the time I was fully dilated, I decided that it hurt more than I liked, so I asked for an IV drug but it was too late.
The third time, I was in massive pain, and I asked for an epidural as soon as I got to the hospital. That was great, no pain, and I actually slept in between 1 minute contractions!
Final Answer - NO

To find out if labor pains are overrated you need to hold the hand of a woman having a contraction. She will bring you to your knees. You will be begging her to let go of your hand.

How about we get a doll the size of an 8 pound baby and stuff it up your rear so you'll know. Then maybe you won't be asking.
