Thats usually a precursor to someone saying something personal. My personal fav is the way people say "I'm not racist but..." before saying something racist.

i do. and i think its stupid and irresponsible on the person's part to even say something retarded and then say cover it up by saying that. i'd shoot back and saying something retarded to them as well and then say "don't take it personally.
