My daughter sleeps with a fan running to block out noise.... she wakes up easily..... My mother sleeps with a fan on because she gets hot flashes during the night.... there is always a reason.....

Or something like it. It's the white noise, helps me sleep. If you don't like the air from the fan you can buy a noise machine, does the same thing.

i definitely have to sleep with a fan on...right now i have a ceiling fan going and a fan beside my bed...i've even been known to have a window fan in an open window during the winter

I sleep with a small air filter running. The gentle white noise masks sounds that would otherwise disrupt my sleep, plus it removes particles from the air.

why do you hate that? yes i sleep with a fan running every single night, it's very soothing to me ...i like the noise i can't sleep when it is so quiet~

Yes, since I was a kid, not only do I need the breeze but I need that gently humming to calm my nerves. It doesn't matter if its blazing hot or freezing cold - the fan is always on. We must have some strange psychological condition -maybe they should call us "Fan-atics".

Most definitely! First of all, I love feeling the moving air and having the white noise. Also, in recent years, I've needed it because of the night sweats caused by menopause. And once you get used to the noise, it's difficult to do without it.

I use a fan. I'd rather be wrapped up in a blanket than sweating all night.
You get used to the noise and actually feel wierd without it.
