I need to find values for a, b, c, d. in the following ecuations:

a=ax+by
b=an+bm
c=cx+dy
d=cn+dm

Manipulate the equations. I'll do one to show you how it works, you will have to do the rest.

a = ax + by take ax from b.s
a - ax = by factorize lhs
a(1 - x) = by divide bs by (1 - x)
therefore a = by/(a - 1)

The same principals can be applied to the rest of your equations. You will learn more by doing the rest yourself then copying my work. You will be able then to apply the skills in the exam room.
