I moved out of state for a while, and came back and had a baby. I cut off contact with my old "friends" (for good reasons).
Parenting groups usually consist of people much older than me...so they tend to turn their noses up. I haven't met anyone here my age that isn't on drugs...I'm out of ideas...

I'd go to the suburbs and sign up for storytime and such at the libraries. Parents and their young ones are in droves. Met some real nice people. It doesnt matter how little your child is either.

I have lived in many states in the last 6 years; several people that I know have died from the use of drugs, "One more time." Since I got "Clean (drug-free)" I have tons of fun and do many social and cultural events. The crowd that I have been hanging out with are in "Recovery" and do not allow the use of any drugs, alcohol is a drug by the way. I also hang out w/ the Men of Pa'a, we are a Service oriented group that Assists the community thru service work.

I also find that many Churches offer Socials to attend. Many of those organizations do not even care if you are members or not. They jus like to see people there having a great time. One last place to check is...come and visit Hilo, HI and we will also show you our Beaches, Waterfalls, and many activities that do not involve Drug Use! A'ole Drugs, Hawaiian for Drug Free or No Drugs!

I'm 28 not on drugs and neither are any of my friends. Believe it or not, college campuses are good places to meet people who are not on drugs, I don't know about Case though, I have met some people who go there and are so stressed they take speed. But I am sure you could find plenty of people in their 20's over there by Case & Coventry who are not on drugs and who have children as well. Also, I don't know how old your child is but once they get into school settings you should be able to find other mothers in your age group to be friends with. Good luck.

What do you like to do in your free time? Any hobbies?

Spend as much time as you can doing what you like and talk to others doing the same thing.

Don't get hung up on age too much. There are a few cool 30-50 year olds out there that can be a lot of fun.

Im 27 and im not on drugs!
Have just travelled around Australia and have met lots of people in their 20's who are not on drugs. Maybe your mixing in the wrong circles or are not putting yourself in the right places.
