I was doing a search to see if anybody had made a listing of places to go panning for gold and I came up with this site.

I put gold panning in the what box and NC in the where, and it came up with one place. You might want to try your state or perhaps SC. I know where I live in Central VA, there was a lot of gold mining, and apparently there is still some left. As someone else suggested, there are places out west also.

you can pan for it in alaska, california, georgia. not sure where else. you can probly google or yahoo gold panning and see what states have gold. if you are in the states that is.

i panned in dahlonega georgia when i was a teenager on a family vacation. sorry i don't recall the name of the site- they pepper gem stones in the stream but the gold is natural
