It's best to try to prevent motion sickness, because symptoms are hard to stop once they start. Once motion sickness has developed, relief comes only after the motion has stopped. If you can't stop the motion, you may be able to reduce the feeling of queasiness by sitting or lying down in an area that appears to move the least. In an airplane, sit near the wings; on a boat or ship, stay on the deck, looking at the horizon, or try to sit or lie down in a cabin near the center of the ship.
You also can take prescription and nonprescription medication to prevent or reduce symptoms of nausea and vomiting. Most medications work best if you take them before you travel. The medications work in different ways. Some are sedatives that minimize the effect of motion, while others reduce nausea and vomiting.
Many people try other methods of preventing motion sickness, such as taking powdered ginger capsules or wearing acupressure wristbands. It is safe to try these methods, and they might offer some relief; however, there is little evidence that they prevent motion sickness.

I have done a lot of traveling. Planes, trains, boats and cars. I have battled motion sickness since I was a child. The only thing that has ever worked for me is Dramamine. You can buy it over the counter. It will make you drowsy though. I wouldn't recommend taking it if you are driving. Another tip is if you have to ride in the back seat of a car, train, bus, etc... never look out of the side windows. Always look out of the front window. It helps to keep your equilibriam balanced. If your going on a long trip I also recommend bringing soda and a light snack like crackers. An empty stomach tends to feel sicker than a fuller one.

there are a number of OTC (over the counter) drugs including Dramamine for treating motion sickness symptoms, there is also a FDA approved motion-sickness bracelet advertised in SkyMall catalogs (the kind you find on airlines) which says it can treat motion sickness through timed release of a chemical. I think (though not sure) there are also small electrical stimuli type bracelets which are supposed to regulate motion sickness symptoms. Might want to search that last one.

Some people find chewing ginger useful. There are other natural remedies; you just have to do a little research online, depending on what's causing the motion sickness, how bad it is, etc. There is also a motion sickness patch that you can wear.

Sit near a window. Make sure the window is open. Make sure the cool calm air hits your face. This is the BEST!! I get a motion sicknees if I stay in a car for 30 mins! But once I feel some cool breeze from the window, I'm more than great. But this only works while the car is driving.

First figure out the cause of it. then take the next step. I had the same problem but i figured out it was milk and milk products that was causing me to get sick so now i stay away from all milk products for a hour before i go anywhere. i also can't have a lot of sugar. but if it is a natural response. try to find a liquid or food that will help with it or there is over the counter medicine to help keep it under control. i still get a little bit of motion sickness but to keep down to nothing. as strange as it sounds. Anything like Cola or Dr. pepper and salty chips work for me. i would never try medicine because i get sick on it. I took a aspirin and i threw it back up. i get sick on all medicine.

there is medication available in different doses. the strength of it is something to talk to a doctor about. it depends on how severe your motion sickness is. the higher the milligrams, the longer the duration.
