Well, armies typically stop recruiting men who are over 25, so I guess that's when they hit their peak.
But I use a much simpler, scientific formula to determine who is old and who isn't.
OLD = Your age + 10 years

The answer is early twenties. I was told that by an anatomy professor whose proof came from the studies that the military did to identify corpses during World War II. That was the first time that there were large numbers of young people whose bodies could be looked at carefully to get clues to their age and identity. They noted that the bones of the skull that start out with gaps between them and made the skull flexible and protected against injury grew together and knitted by that age. The theory was that since this protective feature would not work after the early 20's then that was the "design life" of a human.

biologically individuals start loosing their elasticity by their middle adulthood which would probably start at the age of 35. 17-21 years of age are still the growing or developing years so people do feel their physical best in that age range but your 24 year old friend must be loosing her abnormaly because of genetics, hereditry, of it can be just a lack of exercise....hope that helps!

It is reckoned that peak is achieved the age of 22.
How fast you go downhill after that depends on how well you look after yourself !
But tell your friend that 24 is nothing.

It depends upon how well you take care of yourself. Good nutrition and moderate exercise should keep your skin taut and muscles toned most of your life. Using a moisterizer daily with SPF15 helps too.
Subtract years until you look old for abusing your body with drugs, alcohal or cigerettes. Especially aging is crystal meth.

Way to young to be thinking that. I don't think a person really starts to lose it till they are in their sixties. They may lose a little but their not "old". Heck I turn 60 in six months and I just got old three days ago!!

I ROFLed at the title of this question....we start to get old when we're born... but I think you only start to get "old" old when you pass 40 or so... things seem to begin breaking after that. But it also depends on your health. If you're a fast-food munching couch potatoe, you'll likely to go a lot faster.

Hello...I'm Charles I think people started to become old when their skin turns to have wrinkled.....and in the age of 50+.....
But in the case of your friend just try to ask her if she uses some of the chemical products for the skin. thank you

Girls might become slightly less attractive starting at about 25 - 30 but you will find that how you see beauty also changes as you get older. I would say that physically, it is more like 35 when you start to lose your edge.

sounds like your friend needs to exercise. I am 25 and I still don't think I have hit my peak.
