The democrats of today are not the party they were 40 years ago. Can you imagine a democrat today saying, and meaning "Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country". The Democrat party has been hijacked by the radical left, socialist movement. I had to leave the party. I couldn't stomach it any longer. I am a Reagan Republican and proud of it.
I just had to add another comment, if you think both parties are the same, then why is there so much fighting between the two? And if you don't vote, then you have not earned the right to complain.

I like different views from each side. I usually vote Republican because I feel that Democrats want to rule our lives too much.
I really wish that a strong Libertarian would come along. I'm so tired of the bipartisan crap! But I will always vote for who I feel is the best candidate, as hard as that decision can be. No matter what, we should ALL exercise our right to vote!!!

Well I was a Republican for many years, then I registered as a Democrat for a few years, now I'm an Independent, but I'm really more of a Libertarian. Really, I'm somewhere in the middle of Democrat or Republican, it depends, but one has to register as either Republican or Democrat in order to vote in the primary elections.

I'm a Republican in the truest sense of the word, not what has been stereotyped.
Abraham Lincoln (Republican)
- Preserved Union, Freed slaves.
Theodore Roosevelt (Republican)
- Established Anti-trust
- Built Panama Canal
- Established National Parks system
Dwight D. Eisenhower
- Sent Federal Troops to the South to allow African-Americans to attend desegregated schools (Truman did this too)
- Got us out of the Korean War

I am a registered Democrat to vote in the primary. My beliefs are more in line with the Green Party. When I was young I was a republican and very conservative. As I matured I became more compassionate of people and individual civil rights and therefore had to switch parties.

Neither, I don't believe there really isn't a difference in either party anymore.

I sit in the middle of the fence. I'm conservative in some things, and liberal in others.

Neither. I can't legally vote because I'm under 18, but I think probably neither. I'm not a ballot, I'm a person.
