Not super short, but apropos nonetheless...

I considered answering the question. Then, I perceived that it was actually someone cheating; hiding under a veil of feigned innocence.

It is deceitful to submit someone else's work and pass it off as your own.

considered: She had considered my idea for the next school field trip.

veil: She had worn a beautiful silk veil on her wedding day.

perceive: Not everything is what you perceive it to be.....
