It really depends upon the group I am with! Some make me feel like I am a part of their group while others, have gone out of their way to make me feel I did not belong.
I am a very young thinker for my age as I enjoy doing many things. This makes some of the groups feel uncomfortable with me. However, in other groups, I have been able to fit right in with women who were not ready to just "lay it down"! I think it best if I stay in the groups of very active seniors as we have more in common.

\Well I have friends of all ages so age to me is just a number. I think I will always be a young senior citizen.

I agree. Each of us should be thankful for the GOOD things we have; like our health or retirement!!! Isn't it great?
I do find myself too caught up in looking older than I think I am or than I should, but I don't think of myself as a senior citizen. I still want to dress appropriately, but on the youthful side. I really haven't changed all that much, mentally.

The Doggie people and Linedancers that are the group I am with are all ages from 29 - 70. We all get on great so I think I can adapt to any age group. I'm 57 so I'm somewhere in the middle of them.

No, I fit in all age groups from months to centuries.
I am a citizen of the world and the ages.
I will always belong because I am a helper. And, there will always be those that will need help.

DUH. I definately have never fit into any age group & now that I'm headed towards 55, I don't WANT to be around my own age group. I gotta have older or much younger people around me for some peace of mind. People my age are burned out, over medicated, alcoholics, Jesus freaks (no disrespect for anyone who is a believer), or just so OCD that I want to run from them, & downright mean & nasty! Many still smoke pot & that sickens me because they wasted their entire lives getting high. All they want to do is talk about the "good old days" when all we used to do was party. I don't live well in the past. It's over people, let's move on! See, even the mere thought of my own age group sends me into a "tizzy"! Thanks.

Sometimes, I act as young as I feel(with in reason). I am 50 most of my friends are the same way. My cousin is 61 now and you would think she was in her twenties or late teens. I also have a lot of friends in their mid 60's . I may be a grandma, but I am not going to be too old for my age. Enjoy it while you can.

I feel like I don't fit. Seems like all the people I know around my age (68) act like they're a hundred - at least the men do. They don't do their own yard, they don't make repairs on their house when needed personally but hire someone to do it, they walk all stooped over and seem beat down, and all they want to talk about is Social Security, Medicare, who just died and who looks like they're going to die.
I try to stay away from them but they hunt you down. For example, last night at 9:30 or so, the neighbor across the street who I often refer to as Numbn**ts rang my doorbell to breathlessly tell me that the neighbor on the next street over in back of him who I don't know had just died. He was 89. A couple of months ago the other neighbor across the street, HairNose, came over to tell me his brother-in-law's neighbor died. I don't even know his brother-in-law much less the neighbor!
I've got to get away from these goofy bastards.

I'm not really sure what my age group IS. I like people, and get along well with almost everyone (sort of shy at first with new people), but I find myself constantly amazed when talking to folks I think are older than me only to find out I'm the older one!
It's starting to freak me out.

Everytime I walk into a "senior center" I feel at least 20 years younger than those already there. I restrict my visits to special events like health fairs. Otherwise it's too depressing.
