x/5 - x/2 = 3 + 3x/10
(2x - 5x) /10 = 3 + 3x/10
-3x/10 - 3x/10 = 3
-(3x + 3x )/10 = 3
-6x/10 = 3
-3x/5 = 3
-3x = 15
x = 15/-3
x = -5

1. Make all of the denominators the same:
2x/10 - 5x/10 = 3 + 3x/10

2 Then simplify
-3x/10 = 3 + 3x/10
-6x/10 = 3

3. Solve for x
(-6x/10)(-10/6) = 3(-10/6)
x = -30/6 = -5

x/5 - x/2= 3 + 3x/10
Multiply through by 10:
2x - 5x = 30 + 3x
<=> -6x = 30
<=> x = -5.

x/5 -- x/2 = 3 + 3x/10
=> 2x -- 5x = 30 + 3x
=> -- 6x = 30
=> x = -- 5

1 st take x/5 and x/2 and make them 2x/10 and 5x/10 to make -3x/10

2nd move 3x/10 to the other side to get -6x/10=3

3rd divide both sides by 3 to get -x/5=1

the answer is -5.

rewrite with common denominator:
(2x/10) -(5x/10)=(30/10)+(3x/10)
(2x-5x-3x)/10=30/10
-6x=30
x= - 5
