Do you even have to ask?!
The bear has height, weight, speed, and endurance on the shark. The only win the shark would get would be a bite to the neck.
Plus, the bear is always in the water hunting fish...When was the last time you saw a shark in a caving looking for a grizzly?
And don't even get me started against the beast that's known as the polar!

It depends on which players from the Boston Bruins and San Jose sharks go at it.
But seriously, assuming hypothetically that sharks can somehow move well on land or bear being able to swim well on water - it may just be the shark. Why? Sharks have no bones to break. They are VERY difficult to kill by blunt forces. And I think they have just enough blubber to prevent being disembowled by the bear's claw (they'll have to take a few SUCCESSFUL swipes, as their claws might not be long enough to do fatal damage in a single swipe) Furthermore, once a shark bites any part of a bear, like a super-vicious pitt bull, the shark is not going to let go. It'll eventually bite and tear off the bear limb by limb - especially if it's the great white - they're HUGE too.

In what terrain? o_o
The bear will drown under water and a shark will die on land (if staying on each other's terf for too long).
Ok um... I'll use my imagination and say a virtual world where bears stand like they do on land and sharks swim on air as if they are flying.
I would say a bear because they can grab on to the shark and scratch it with the claws. Sharks don't have hands, they have fins and can't grab the bear, so the shark is at a disadvantage. The bear may be able to hold the shark's mouth shut, too.

Depends where they were fighting. If they were fighting on land the bear would win because the shark can't survive out of water. If it was in the ocean the shark would win as the bear would drown.

If it was in shallow water the bear can hit with enough force to stun the shark. They would be wicked adversaries but a shark would have trouble hauling off a 500 pound bear.

Depends on where they are fighting. If they were fighting in the ocean then the shark would win, but if they were fighting on land the bear has a better chance of survival.
