At Thanksgiving all the checkout are open that whole week.
1 week out of 52....not a good track record.

Try your friendly HEB supermarket here in Texas. They price below everyone and are so busy that they quite frequently have to have ALL the checkouts running. Albertsons went broke and left Texas because they couldn't compete with HEB.

Ya know, instead of building bookshelves, I'm gonna look for a nice handy boy to build me built in the wall beer coolers. I'm taking applications now!

Actually, I have. The Super Wall*Mart in ore town just had their grand opening,,,all check out were manned!!
However their signs that state " if there are more that three people in one lane we will open another lane"..I'd very much like to rip them down..that's false advertising..

It seems to me, the busier they are, the less cashiers they have open.
I think it's all about stocking. If they keep all of them open, they'll run out of chocolate bars to stock at all of the cashier stations. This way, they always have a reserve in chocolate bars and what not.
