Yes, because while the internet provides a means with which people from all over the world can meet and communicate with one another, (thereby, making all of us SEEM to be close), in reality, when one thinks about where each person really is (or might be), one realizes that in reality, everyone's relatively far away.

Yes, through yahoo answers people from different places ( USA, Europe, Africa, Asia) come to get together and share their knowledge and opinions. So we are really close but yet so far...

yes. you can love someone you're not with and you can be with someone you don't love or you could be in love with someone w/o establishing any real relationship or connection.
those are the only ways i can think of to interpret that idea.
