please answer only if you haveFOUR PLUS bedrooms in your home. Do you clean the house yourself? Also, do you work full time, too?

And if you do work full time, and clean the house, is it because you don't want a maid, can't afford it, or the reason, please.

I have 4 bedrooms & 2 baths. I work two jobs as does my husband. We have one child in kindergarten, one in the 11th grade, and one a sophmore in college. We are extremely busy, so I have a lady come in once a week and clean my house. But still I have a couple loads of laundry everyday, I have to clean everyday to keep my house somewhat clean. I can't be the clean freak I once was because I'd go insane. I don't have a lot of money, but it's a tremendous help to have someone come in and help me every week and well worth the extra money. I also make my girls help around the house. My house is clean, but not immaculent and it's not filthy either. Good luck. 2D

I had 5 bedrooms, 5 acres, worked full time, cooked, cleaned, gardened and DIY renovated. I didn't have a maid, a gardener or painter, because it's just not the done thing where I come from. If you can't do it yourself, you're lazy, dumb, or unorganised. If you do have a cleaner you don't let anyone know and if they do find out it everyone thinks you're rolling in money. Thank goodness times are changing and more and more households are employing cleaners, now women can be mums and have careers too. I now have 3 bedrooms, 1/4 acre, work full time and still do everything myself. I enjoy mowing the lawns and cleaning can be therapeutic, especially when you have good music playing.

When I worked full time I cleaned my house myself. 5 bedrooms; 2 and 1/2 baths; office " kitchen ; dining room and living room; and did all the cooking.
I would not have a maid, but I would most definely have a cook if I could afford one. Retired 2 years ago.
