Hi there
If you are doing some kind of study reading is a must ... no way around that. It is definitely worth working towards as it is a necessity to succeed in the academic world. The more you read the better you Will become and the less uncomfortable and difficult you will find it It is also very difficult to read large amounts if you are having difficulty understanding the text. In this instance it can be very helpful to get some advise from someone that has a Little better understanding of the topic as nobody enjoys Reading something they don't understand as it does make it difficult. Good luck

Yep, for sure. I am in college right now-if I could read faster I would definitely make awesome grades and would not have to study sooooo many hours. I have mucho books to read. Good Luck

Yes. It's pretty simple. The faster you read, the more you read. The more you read, the more you will know. The more you know, the more you will realize how little you really know and how much more you really need to read.
