stay away, walk out, turn your back, ignore, and please dont fight back. irrational people can be traitors too.

Simply walk away. It is like talking rationally to a drunk person...what's the point?? If someone is irrational or angry...they are not thinking with their conscious mind and thoughts. It is almost a waste of breath to say anything at all. If it really is important for you to say your piece, wait until the person has cooled off.

LISTEN. Let them vent until they're done.
Try to figure out why they're so angry. Usually, there's something going on that has nothing to do with the current situation. If you can help, do so.
If they don't calm down, don't engage - walk away, disconnect, hang up, ignore, whatever. It's just not worth the hassle.

I don't.
If they're angry and irrational it's their problem, not mine. I "remove myself" from their vicinity. I don't have time for adult-sized temper-tantrums so I treat them like I would a 2 year old having a fit....walk away.

I let them rant for a few seconds. Then I look at them straight in the eyes, wait a second or two and then tell them that they need to either settle down or get the he** out of my face.

by being calm.
every time they get angry just smile at them and say something really nice and slowly notice their changing attitude towards u.
it takes some time and lots of patience but it works for sure.

If they are people I know, I laugh at them and then walk away.
