There are so many issues and reasons (not particularly good or honest ones) for this conflict and I have no reason to believe oil isn't one of them.

Well, it is certainly NOT about 9/11, as no definitive link has been proven between the so called hijackers and Saddam Hussein. Also, never forget that Saddam was at one time an ally of the US. And in case you didn't know, the CIA helped to topple the elected democratic government of Dr. Mossadegh
of Iran in 1954, because of his threats to nationalize the Iranian oil industry. We helped to install the Shah of Iran, whose murderous secret police, Savak, helped turn the people of Iran against him, and subsequently, the United States.Shortly thereafter, the US government started arming the Iraqis in their war versus Iran. During the 80's, the Iran-Contra scandal helped arm Iran, proving the US government to be untrustworthy, by playing both sides against one another. And we wonder why we have problems in the Middle East...

Ofcourse, did you really think it was about liberating the muslims? In the world today power is everything, oil means power, and the USA obviously is run by greedy old white men....so draw your own conclusions. You dont even have to read that article to figure that out.

No it's not about oil. In fact, no one really actually knows why Bush went into Iraq, any more than a historian could tell you why we entered World War I.
This will remain one of history's tantalizing mysteries and one of America's greatest disasters of geopolitics.
As for corruption in Iraq, that's still going on at a much greater pace than Saddam ever dreamed of. Money is being ripped off there at a rate this is mind-boggling, mostly by US contractors.

I suppose if it was, the US and UN wouldn't be conducting
investigations. No, I don't believe so; too many other contributing issues like 911 and the Islamic struggles in Iraq.

I think we are in Iraq to help out Israel, and that's the bottom line. If we didn't have such a 'great' ally in the middle east, we wouldn't be there at all I think.
