The National Archives and Library of Congress reveal that
Prescott Bush, the grandfather of President George W. Bush, served as a business partner of and U.S. banking operative for the financial architect of the Nazi war machine from 1926 until 1942, when Congress took aggressive action against Bush and his "enemy national" partners.

His business dealings, which continued until his company's assets were seized in 1942 under the Trading with the Enemy Act, has led more than 60 years later to a civil action for damages being brought in Germany against the Bush family by two former slave labourers at Auschwitz
This link encapsulates alot of articles published both in the US and overseas which hashes out Prescott Bush's ties to the financial architect of the Nazi rise to power and how he and his family benefitted from his connection to Thyssen

This behavior was not exclusive to the Bush family it was that they stuck around longer than the others. Henry Ford, founder of Ford Motor Company, was a well known anti-Semite and someone whom Hitler had admired. Hitler had admired the USA because of its treatment of Native Americans, whom he had viewed as "inferior" and felt the US treatment of them meant the country also believed them to be inferior.

Sure sounds like it. Why did Congress seize the bank? As for Joe Kennedy appeasing Hitler, his son JFK did not share that opintion and I believe there were Bush connections in the CIA that got JFK killed. Overall Harriman also directly disobeyed JFK when he told him to negotiate w Vienam. harriman cross it out, an act of treason to my mind. Skull and Bones was a Nazi embalm for the SS. coincidence.?

Yes.

They also went after Joe Kennedy for crimes as well.

The United States didn't have a big problem with Hitler and the Nazis.

Until Japan got involved.

Ford and GM were also questioned about their foreign investments in Nazi Germany.
There was alot of American businesses involved with Nazi Germany before 1941.

he did, for Prescott's helping Hitler with financial affairs and supporting Hitler's policies and supporting the adoption of those policies for the US and for continuing to support former Nazis after the war. While you are not responsible for your grandfathers activities, it is troubling that W's family has a history like this. And his present day authoritarian behavior seems to follow a family pattern.

Sure you can say the grandson bears no responsibility for something his his grandfather has done but in the case of the Bush family it is their business that got them where they are today. The Bushs earned their first million from that bank and was what set them up for politics.

FDR fired Joe Kennedy Sr. as Ambassador to Great Britain for appeasing Hitler. He also owned Nazi stocks. Quick! Let's take it out on Teddy.
