My husband I are a interracial couple, so with our three year old twin daughters, we wanted to pick names that could be both African American and American. Our daughters are Aleena and Marlee. Now we're having a boy. Here are they names that we can't chose from:
Christopher, Henry, Jayden, Corbin, Matthew, Darryis, or Maddox
or feel free to make your own suggestions and also suggest middle names for my names.
thanks!

Christopher - this works
Henry - sorry. Just not one I would choose today.
Jayden - too trendy
Corbin - I like it but it reminds me of Corbin Dallas (Bruce Willis movie). If that's fine with you, perfect!
Matthew - works perfect for me. My aunt and uncle are an interracial couple and one of my cousins has this name
Darryis - Spelled Darius it's just fine. Your spelling would lead to way too many mispronunciations.
Maddox - this is a 'cold' name to me. More like something you would name a computer program.
Middle names: I am of the side that feels you should choose a meaningful middle name, not just one that sounds good. Pick one that honors a relative, someone you respect, even a book or movie character. Just something that means something to you.

My favorites are Jayden and Maddox. I think they both sound like really nice named. Christopher is fine, it's just very common. I don't really like Henry because it doesn't make me think of a child, it makes me think of an older man. Corbin is an okay name. It's just really not catching my eye. Matthew is a little too common for me too. Darryis... eh. I just don't care for it much.
I hope that you guys find something that fits your family though! Congratulations.
