Thanks for the replies so far..Yeh i agree with the research part..I dont wish to have bad nipples as i have one pierced at present (only thing about me at moment i do like) i not sure if it means i will lose this or not...I am currently a G/H cup ..i dont wish to go down to nothing as will not suit my body frame but i must have well over a stone in weight in my breasts and it is just to much on my back..i am on morphine 24/7 and pain is still there and docs have told me to lose weight in anyway i can but when you cannot exercise due to pain and lack of movement and safety its very very hard... and this is just a very small step to losing some weight i know but i have to try something....cheers girls...

I had mine reduced Feb 2006 (38J to 38C) and do not regret it one bit. Insurance covered mine 100% (some insurance companies may be different).

This site has a TON of information for you, FAQ's, women's experiences, and a great picture board that has helped me out a LOT:

I have a friend who had it done. She was a J cup and now is small enough to not wear a bra. She said it was the best thing she ever did. Her back used to be all hunched over and now isn't. Make sure you get a good plastic surgeon, ask to see his before and after photos, especially look at the nipples on the after pics. My friend apparently didn't get a very good one because her nipples look flat and unnatural. do your homework and visit several docs before you decide on one.

I am a mammographer, and I have interacted with countless women who have had reductions and augmentations. I would say about 50% of all implant patients regret their decision to have the surgery. I have yet to meet a post-reduction patient who regrets the surgery! Best wishes to you, and I hope you are able to have this done soon!

Breast reduction surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Tour2india4health Consultants .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Tour2india4health Consultants is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

i've thought of doing this as well but for posture. if i had the money, i'd do it. if your doc says it could help with your back pain, i'd seriously consider it if i were you. i see nothing wrong with this at all. maybe you should speak with your orthopedist as well. good luck.
