Very tough question. I feel that Anakin would be a good match for Mace, however I would probably fall back on Mace....
Anakin does not carry the clear mind and skill to defeat Mace Windu. I feel that Mace Windu could has the skills and powers to defeat Anakin.

Mace Windu would win. Here's why: Mace was a Jedi Master...Anakin was just a knight who never reached his peak as a Jedi (He turned to the darkside before he completely developed as a Jedi). Mace just about killed Sidious, who was one of the most powerful Sith Lords of all-time. Had it not been for the distraction that Anakin provided, Windu would have ended Sidious' reign before Darth Vader ever existed.
It is not fair to say to watch the results of the Episode III encounter between the two. They never engaged in combat. Sidious was responsible for Windu's demise, while Anakin simply provided Sidious with a golden opportunity. A one-on-one match between the two would show that Windu was a far superior Jedi to Anakin.

I think there is a point in his life where Anakin could defeat Mace Windu - however, not while he is still Anakin. Anakin lacks the mindset to defeat Mace -- he is easy to trip up because he is over confident.
He does lose that before we get to know him as Darth -- so I think there is a point he could defeat Mace. But then, Mace could just do the same as Ben.

Mace Windu. His Lightsabre is purple. And has "Bad M***er F***er" on it.
Anakin's says, "Annie loves Paddie".
If you want a serious answer: Look at it this way:
If you're talking about the time of "Revenge of the Sith" Anakin lost to Obi-Wan. So I doubt Mace would lose to Anakin at that time. However, as Anakin became even more powerful after becoming Darth Vader - we'll never know because Mace is dead and we'll never know if Mace would have improved at all had he lived. But the way they killed off Mace kinda sucked. Where was his Jedi instinct when the sabre came down against him?

Darth here, Mace Windu would defeat Anakin, as someone pointed out Anakin thought too much about himself, as proved by ObiWan.

hhmm, thats a good question, i was going to say that at his prime anakin would win because he was the chosen one, but then i remembered he wasnt the chosen one. So im going to say that powerfull Mace windu would win on this one. unless of course if anakin trained more, but there is really no way of knowing.

There's no way he'd defeat Mace. Anakin lost to Obi-Wan and Obi-Wan was not as powerful as Mace.

Anakin was prophesied to bring balance to the Force; so Mace, despite his superior abilities, theoretically couldn't defeat him.

It dependes on WHEN?? when anakin was a padawan? at the time of Ep 3??
By the way i also agree with the comments, only the originals from the 70s are really good

Watch Clone wars and you will see that the answer is clearly Windu.
