Nope, sorry. I don't take drugs or even drink alcohol, so that may be a factor in my staying sane.

Sometimes though, insanity doesn't always have an external cause. Various chemical or hormonal imbalances can throw a person's sanity askew.

If you feel you're getting better, consider it a life experience. If not, you should consider seeing a doctor about it, so that it can be treated before it gets any worse. Pharmaceutical treatments nowadays are wonderful, they won't turn you into a drooling vegetable or anything. Many people who are being treated say that the drugs allow them to feel like themselves again.

Sometimes the stress of life can get to you. All the old hurts catch up to you, and you begin to wonder why you keep getting up in the morning. That is when we need to look at what is really going on. I find for myself it is not doing the things I want and not getting rid of the irritants in my life that are causing me stress. Maybe a new start different job or saying good bye to a lover that is causing me to be quietly unhappy and unsatisfied. It's all about what we put in our lives and the crap that we think we have to put up with when we don't. We don't realize how desperate we are for change until we snap.

You might have experienced an episode that may indicate that you suffered some form of mental illness.
I would suggest that you speak to you doctor and get a referral to a specialist if it is really bothering you.

1. Language. Change "couldn't" to "wouldn't".
(I wouldn't act right around people.)

Understanding your own motivation will help to resolve the problem.
