I want to believe it would be a landslide but unfortunately our democratic leaders are spineless nowadays. We will win but marginally.
NIce to see ya on Y/A again.

That's exactly what I thought in 2004 and look what happened. Even though Rove is not officially pulling Bush's PR strings, I have a feeling he and Cheney will round up another "Swift boat" propaganda story on whoever the Democrat nominee is and Fox News will play it around the clock. They will play the fear card and if another terrorist attack doesn't happen they will start a War with Iran based on lies and then claim the Democrat is too weak on Defense like they always do.
Then there is the whole issue of computer hacking of voting tabulations and keeping minorities off the voting lists. I feel a sense of Doom. Even if Hillary wins I don't see much to celebrate as she has an imperialist Pro-Pentagon voting record.

Let's hope there IS an election. I've got a bad feeling that Bushco have some kind of "National Emergency" simmering on a back burner. If they've allowed thousands of Americans to die and be maimed for their greed, they aren't going to up and leave the White House with just a whimper.
If there is, I agree with Hamilton, it'll be a slim margin, not a landslide.
Still too many sheeple letting Mann Coulter and Rush Speedball do the thinking for them.

the reaosn why the demoratics candidates seem spinless and just all shockers is because the media potrays them like that.
For example, like the fox news that is owned by Rupert Murdoch (whos really close friends with many republicans)
All they are doing is trick the american public into beleiveing this
Im not saying that demoratics are not going to be a corrupted government but its better then how the republics aproach to american issues

I think, the democrats should be scared.
The last time any Congress was rated this low, the democrats lost control of congress for the first time in 40 years.
And as to this being the most corrupt administration ?
What corruption ?
Can you name anyone who has broken the law, besides Libby ?
Especially when you compare to the last administration, who had 38 indictments and 33 convictions against members.

I think we will see more third party candidates then ever at all levels who will also draw out more voters then ever in history of country........NOT but I can dream
Yes they will lose a lot of federal ground but I think on state level there may not be much change and that is really where the groundwork is laid and who knows what can happen between now and then to sway an electorate that is easily moved by current events rather than deliberative response

Whoever gets the Repub. nomination is going to win. I say that even though I am a democrat cuz its just true.
Hillary or Obama is going to get the nomination. There are still too many people in this country who will not vote for them cuz they are black or a woman. John Edwards is the ONLY chance for a demo. win in november. But he isn't going to get the nomination. So look forward to pres. romney or gulianni.
You see the people who vote republican are so incredibly stupid that they voted for GWB. what makes you think they won't just keep voting for loser repubs? They just don't want there to be abortions, stem cells, non whites, gays+gay marrage. And they are willing to Screw the world so they can hate and spread racism, sexism, and lots of other racist "isms" They don't care. They just want everyone to have THEIR morals forced on them. Cuz god says so. Heil Bush!
Oh yeah! and don't forget the voting machines.....They will make ABSOLUTELY SURE A REPUBLICAN WINS.
this country is UCKED with a capital F.

I wish there were a better Democratic candidate emerging. Please, please, Al Gore. Come to our rescue. I ain't kidding. I'm sorry I voted for Ralph Nader in 2000.
If we had a good candidate for President, I think the Republicans would get beaten like a rented mule. As is, narrow democratic victories in a surprisingly undramatic campaign.

Yes,I do and agree with your assessment
In the Bush administration "the negation of truth is so systematic. Dishonest accounting, willful scientific illiteracy, bowdlerized federal fact sheets, payola paid to putative journalists, 'news' networks run by right-wing apparatchiks, think tanks devoted to propaganda rather than thought, the purging of intelligence gatherers and experts throughout the bureaucracy whose findings might refute the party line -- this is the machinery of mendacity...The point here is not the hypocrisy involved, though that is egregious. The point is the downgrading of truth and honesty from principles with universal meaning to partisan weapons to be sheathed or drawn as necessary. No wonder the Bush administration feels no compunction to honor the truth or seek it; it conceives truth as a tactic, valuable only insofar as it is useful against one's enemies
