However, men actually do have tubes. The vas deferens are what are cut and "tied" on men during a vasectomy.

But everyone is right--when people refer to having their tubes tied, it is a woman's fallopian tubes.

Typically when someone refers to tubes being tied they are speaking of a woman's Fallopian tubes.

When they use the term tying your tubes, they actually cut, burn, tie, use little clips, etc to stop eggs from traveling through the fallopian tubes. So it's a girl thing

It's a personal preference. I know a few men who've had vasectomy's, feeling that the women did all the work of carrying and birthing the child that they went through the surgery.
