I really like Elton John's "Circle of Life" and this says a lot about the holistic, cyclical nature of life. In my mind, life is best represented by an artistic looking circle. Yes, there is the "Tree of Life", but a tree is a piece of nature and it has been taken up as a symbol by lawn care companies and nature preservation organizations. The tree doesn't yield as broad meaning as an abstract symbol, but it is more immediately recognized due to ready associations.
