Don't start supporting anyone if they don't share your values. You might have a better chance at being a top contributor but, is that the most important issue to you. In some ways, yes, politics is about giving the people what they want and you are a representative of the people but, when you run for office, you run with your own moral values and ideals. Generally, you would present those issues to the people and they would choose you or your running mates based on what you show them. Once in office, I would hope that you would still have those same values and considerations. I am tired of politicians who base all their ideas on the way the poll numbers come up. I would rather have an independent thinker who did the right thing based on his own ideals.

Lieberman never changed sides. His side changed on him. He is a democrat, hard core, and has democrat values. His problem is he refused to act like a spineless liberal for partisan reasons.

But to answer your question, yes, you should patronize the libs, and you will get points. If you get them being a conservative, you will have all your best answers reported by dozens of liberals to get the points erased. The best thing about having that happen is it gives you even less in common with the liberals (to not have that tin title which is given to even the most ignorant libs)..

Going in either direction away from your true conviction for the sake of money or some other influence IS the abortion of American politics. Be true to your beliefs and take your knocks, it's the only way to exercise a true democracy.

What is the reasoning behind voting Dem. or Rep.?? Why don't you just vote for the person that you like the most out of these fools.

Does it REALLY matter if you vote for a certain party? NO!! They are all liars and cheats anyway.

Why do you want a little tag that just affirms that you have no life? I prefer to think that I do, hence I avoid TC like the plague.

*grumbles about not getting TC and stalks off*

You certainly have the God given right to do this, if you wish. But then, you have to live with yourself and your decisions !
