Mine was my spanish teacher...
He showed us all these random movies on a regular basis that had nothing to do with spanish at ALL. We watched Cars about ten times in English. If we colored a project then we would get an automatic 100%. This was 7th/8th grade. Definitely my worst teacher ever. (As a teacher at least.) Yours?

The worst teacher I had was an instructor at a junior college, where I was taking a class to get continuing education units to renew my teaching credential.

He ignored every good teaching practice I could imagine. As Daffy Duck would say, "What a maroon!"

1. He did not control disorderly students in the back.

2. He could not operate his laptop, and took forever to get through his PowerPoint presentations.

3. In a lecture hall, he held up small charts to his chest, and pointed to them to illustrate the point he was making. Like anyone could see them.

4. He used an overhead to show us an article, but he did not enlarge it, so the print was too small to read, and he showed it on an angled screen intended for an LCD projector that corrects for the distortion. So his overheads were trapezoidal, but since they were unreadable anyway, it didn't matter.

5. He showed real films on a real projector that were old and grainy with bad sound, so he had someone TYPE the narration, which he assigned as a reading.

6. In the lab, we were expected to do a series of experiments to test water from the local delta. He demonstrated the experiments without stopping, rushing through the procedures so quickly that no one could follow along, and we received no written instructions, only a sheet to record our data.

7. In addition, we were learning how to navigate with a compass and triangulate our position. The charts we received had print so small, my lab partner and I had to buy a MAGNIFYING GLASS - and can I see just fine, ordinarily.

8. All his tests had typos or were mis-collated so students turned in tests that had missing pages. When the tests were returned, most of them had grading errors.

9. Everyone was REALLY worried about the final, because it was on the last day of class, and we wouldn't be getting them back. How would we know if there were pages missing, or if the grading was accurate? I think he just gave everyone an A.

10. Oh, and I guess this wasn't his fault, but the fume hood was in the cadaver room, so we had to go in there to pour our chemicals, etc. Ick.

Do I win? :)

I had a high school US History teacher who taught Viet Nam all day instead of teaching the book. Since I learn with lecture, I can tell you all sorts of things about Viet Nam, but little about general US History.

I had a professor from Africa with the worst body odor you can imagine. He taught in Europe before coming to the US. People would try to get to the classroom early, open all the windows and sit in the seats furthest from the front. I had to drop the class. It was horrible.

I had a second grade teacher who hated me for no other reason than the fact that she spelled my name wrong on the first day of school and asked us to make sure all the information was correct. OK, my name was spelled wrong and she asked for correction. I gave it. She hated me all year long.

Edit: First I said my third grade teacher, then I remember my college DVMT Math professor. She was this prissy Southern woman whose own son was flunking out of high school, so she took it out on us.

Her lessons were always confusing and when you'd try and ask her questions she'd be like, "Read your book" and keep teaching.

The first week of class, she drew some random graphs on the chalkboard and said to copy them. We didn't use the graphs for anything, so most people trashed them after a couple weeks.

A couple days before the final she was like, "Remember those graphs from the first week of school? You need them for the test.".

NO ONE had the graphs and she refused to write them on the board again. So about half the class didn't even show up for the final. The half that did failed. She's got tenure though, so she can't get fired.

I do remember a class I was in once where the teacher was really obnoxious. One day we signed a petition to the school principal which read as follows;
Class---- takes exception to the manner and style of teaching of Mr. ----------. The next class we had he actually apologized and became a good teacher.

I was an adult taking Calculus and had a nasty woman math teacher with an anger problem. You'd ask her questions and she'd scream at you. This was at a Junior College with an open door policy. Folks that policy is worthless because that nasty woman got to do as she pleased.

My Trig teacher from high school was a completely horrid woman. She never explained anything and expected us to just know it right off the bat. Unfortunately, I decided to go into teaching and now teach at the same high school as her.

Watching tv is simpler but I love reading literature more

while reading a book, you're stimulating the human brain. You transform your life reading and literacy skills and also you along the way, are more literate. Despite having today's modern technology, you need to be able to read still.
While you're watching t.v. can be good fun, it is not doing anything to your brain.
