I hope he doesn't kill my outdoor plants.

Yes. He'll collect your money but won't do anything with the plants, claiming that the plants should take personal responsibility for their own care. He'll then proceed to take care of someone else's garden, claiming that if he doesn't take care of the weeds over there, they'll follow him to your garden. When your plants all die, he'll say that he "doesn't recall" what could have been the cause, but that Bill Clinton was probably somehow responsible, if not Jimmy Carter. He'll then question your patriotism if you try to fire him, claiming that you will be overrun by weeds if you hire anybody else.

I assume you hired your gardener to attend to your landscaping needs, not to discuss politics with you. I can't understand why you even know his/her political preferences. Your only concern is whether or not the contracted work gets done to your satisfaction.

No don't worry. Just plant some poison ivy in your garden and label it "cannabis" see if doesn't smoke it or put it on e-bay.
