I just got my first snake and she just ate her first meal. I have looked online but am not sure how long to wait before handeling her. She is only 2 months old. I have had her for almost a day and a half and was instructed to feed her today since she has not eaten for one week. She took the food very fast with in 15 mintues she was basically done. How long should I wait to hold her?

I usually don't handle my snakes for the rest of the day after feeding. I just put them back in the terrarium after they are done eating. She will be fine for handling tomorrow, but I would keep it to no more than 15 min. since you don't really know your snake yet, so you might not be able to tell if she's bothered. After that treat her as you normally would.

I wait at least 24 hours after feeding before handling. Some people wait a couple of days. When you handle her after feeding just be gentle with her. Good Luck and Congradulations on your new snake.

It is generally recommended that you wait 48 hours after feeding to handle the snake. Disturbing it sooner may lead to stress and regurgitation. Here's a couple of my favorite websites:

Well prob. around 2 days to give it time to digest the mouse. Thats how long i wait.
