I have moved all around Dallas! LOL However, since I lost my last maternal/paternal family member, last year, I have yearned to go back home.

I cannot explain why as I have not lived their since I was 19 and I am now 52. However, when I think about this, I think it has a lot to do with familiarity and memories. Also, I have friends there who can talk with me about my childhood. Not too many as many have moved on but, there are a handful.

So, no, I do not live in my hometown but, I am seriously thinking about moving back!

I lived in the town I was born in for a month before we moved. I have moved 20 times in my life so far and tomorrow I am moving to Virginia from California.

I am now back in the place I was born and raised. I have moved to the Texas Hill Country several times, the last time was to Wimberly, near San Marcos. Man, I really miss it, I wish I was there right now. In fact, I just told my husband that tonight. There we were about 45 miles from Austin and San Antonio, there are rivers, lakes, and we lived in a rural area(so quiet). Here is the beach, rivers(not real clean), chemical plants, and we are about 45 miles form Houston or Galveston, here we are in an apartment and lots of noise.

I was born in the Endless mountains of Susquehanna, PA and left that area when I was 25. Moved to Buffalo, NY and have been here ever since. I still long for the slow lifestyle of them there hillbillies in PA! The birds, deer in the front yard, rattlesnakes coming down from the stone quarry and going to the Town Restaurant on a Saturday morning for breakfast and seeing everybody you know there. Oh well, I'm retired and I guess I'll stay here. It was much easier moving when I was young.

I was born in Buffalo, NY. I haven't lived in Buffalo since i was born; we lived in a suburb and in the country.

Since I was born, I've lived in four different states and moved over 25 times. I am back near where I spent my teen, college and young adult years, and hopefully this will be the last move for a long time.
EDIT - I counted - this is my 25th move
Longest I lived in one spot was 6 years - just before this last move.

I was born in Albany, NY. Moved in high school to just outside of Harrisburg, PA. After high school we went back up to Albany. Years later I moved out to Buffalo with hubby. Then we went to Virginia Beach, and now we're here in coastal GA. Miss the North but love the South, so this has been "home" for many years.

I still live in the same city where I was born and within 3 miles of my childhood home. When I was born my childhood home was a rural area on the extreme outskirts of he city.

Born in northern Michigan, moved to Delaware in '55, left for the Navy in '65. Stationed in 3 countries. Finally settled down ('76) in Virginia Beach, Va.
When I finally made my 30th class reunion (for the 5th, I was in Japan, 10th I was in Sardinia and the 20th I was in Israel) and got an alumni listing, I found that over 80% of our class (of 164) of '65 live in/or within 50 miles of our town.

Actually, I was going to answer in the affirmative, but I just remembered I wasn't born here. Just seems that way.

I was born in Clarksville, Va., (75 miles south of Richmond) was brought up in Richmond, moved to Los Angeles when I was 21 and moved back to Richmond when I was 33. I'm still here.
