My geology teacher gave us about 50 years left 10 years ago. I think the human race needs to start thinking about something other than themselves and $.

This question was posed 100 years ago. And most people thought with the rapid expansion of the US and wars in Africa and Asia and the loss of morals by the younger generation that the human race would not survive as a civilization (granted global annihilation was not imagined back then, though rapture was). This is an issue that plagues mankind constantly. The world changes, people are uncertain about change, they worry and then the image the worst. This is part of the human condition.
How can the human race survive? the same way we have before, by adapting, by having a broad society that does not all think with a unified mind. By debating and negotiation.

I have no doubt the human race will survive. The real question is whether society and the economy can survive.
Humans will figure out how to survive because we are the planet's top predators.
It is entirely possible that the 21st century will wind up looking more like the 12th century with a fragmented primitive culture and a world wide human population that is 1/10th the current 6.5 billion.

They asked the same question during WWI, They could not see how the human race could avoid exterminating itself with devastating new weapons like the machine gun and airplanes. We managed though. We struggled on and we will continue to do so. The human race is resiliant like that. We adapt. We change, and we find a way to survive and prosper in an ever changing world.

Uh,guess what the human race will not survive 100 years more. After we go to war with China and use nukes on Iran and they on us,surviving for 100 years more will be the LEAST of your problems.

it is an consumer-friendly one. If the international gets too warm, we've shown that we are in a position to proceed to exist it because of the fact the "Cradles of Civilization" have been in warm, dry factors. If the international gets chilly, then we've already shown that we are in a position to stand up to ice a protracted time, and that's with none "extreme" technologies. If the international gets overpopulated, it is going to, out of necessity, stability itself out. i do no longer think of we could desire to rigidity approximately surviving the subsequent a hundred years. the real question is a thank you to we shop the subsequent a hundred years from becoming the subsequent dark Age.

humans, with their chaotic societies and politics, will continue to destroy their world and with it themselves, there is no doubt about it. Well, look at the bright side, we are the only species on earth able to do that, and it is no mean achivement!
When it is too late then they realise, and some will survive, that is sure. Humans are a tough weed to erradicate and eventually will spread again and start all over again.

It is impossible, because the technological progress (especially in weapons) is growing faster than our morality. Sooner or later there will be a war and humanity will disappear for a while.

Are you suffering from depression??? I have a feeling you are. My, my, we just cannot take on what will happen - even tomorrow?
When we shift our attention to what is going "wrong" to what is going "right" - we attract more of it.
Power is in the "present" moment. Get by yourself, all alone, no TV, no nothing. DO NOTHING. This could be called "meditation" by some. Learn to be "in the moment" - not in the future, not in the past. There actually is no "future" - it's all in your thoughts!
