I've never regretted it. Seriously, you're too serious. OK, I'll make an honest attempt to help.
Don't be so hard on yourself, everyone makes mistakes. All you can do is learn from them. If you do learn from your mistakes, they won't haunt you. If you act on what you've learned they can actually help you.
Keep your sense of humor as much as you can. Remember, being human means making mistakes. It's the way we learn.

Stop dwelling on the past and concentrate on the future. Life is choices so work on making some better ones. You learn more from adversity but get the lesson and move on. Everyone makes lots of mistakes, that's how you learn. Put your efforts and thoughts on a plan for the future. Everytime you get knocked down, just get up and try something else. A perfect life is actually boring and adversity does make you stronger. And reliving the past becomes colored by distortion. How do you know what would have happened if you had done something different anyway. Stop dwelling in the past and start living in the present.

Begin the process of self realization. Then all of you activities will become qualified and you will learn how to make proper decisions. The main understanding is
We are not this material body, IE; Race, color, nationality, Religion, mind, intellect, senses, job, etc. We are all eternal spirit souls, part and parcel of the Supreme Soul, also known as Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, etc. We never die, only this mortal body dies.
This material world is not our real home, it is called Maya (illusion) and is temporary and full of misery, only one fourth of the souls come here, and the rest are enjoying blissful eternal loving relationships with our Maker named above. Those who are intelligent, take up the process of self realization (Bhakti Yoga) which gives one real peace, happiness and reality. Then at the end of life they can return to the eternal Kingdom where there is no more birth, death, old age, or disease and be eternally happy. I only regret I didn't start this process sooner in my life. But Now I am happy to know the meaning of life and so grateful for it.

One thing to remember is that tomorrow is always a new day.
Start it with just being thankful that you have breath in your lungs.
If you have a belief system, Faith in God, Higher Power, or just something, this helps tremendously.
Also know that there is always someone in the Universe worse off then you.
I wake each day thanking God for my very life. I have almost died twice, and was given a chance to live. I am living it to the fullest. I help others every chance I get. I know this life is not about me. It is about doing for others finding purpose and doing it. So get out and do something for another person to enhance their life and you also get out and enjoy life. If need be, try to get some therapy.

Well then don't remember. You should be looking toward the future and leave the past behind. I'm not saying ignore and deny what was. I'm saying live for the present and enjoy it so that maybe a few years from now you can have some good memories to look back on.

you shouldnt be living a life of regret first of all, you wont get very far if you think about all the things you wish had never happened. Its best to just accept the fact that they've already happened.

i have made some pretty stupid decisions in the past myself. i used to regret them but i looked back on who it has made me today. i now see them as no regrets, just life lessons. you have to accept yourself for who you are now and who you will be. not who you once were. don't dwell on the past. dwell on the now and the future where it matters. I hope this helps....remember.......no regrets, just life lessons.
