I wouldn't be WITHOUT mine. And I love the "Stability" of not having to keep upgrading (you know, I can stick with my Office 2003 for years if I want to).
But aside from that MS is always working on new "tricks" behind their closed doors. I think they hinted about multi-media mix of phones, computers, TV etc.
Don't throw the baby out with the bath water :-)
There are plenty of things on the internet to keep us interested.
Hang in there, mate ! The next "big" idea might be just what you were hoping for.
.
GOOD LUCK !

It's a mature company now. It's not innovating left and right. What it is doing, is being done better, first, by other companies. However, they currently have the stranglehold on something like 93% of PC operating systems, and the Office Suite of software.

I wouldn't really look at Microsoft for a lot of growth in the future. I'd sell.

Are you referring to their performance in the stock market, where lots of stuff in the stock market has not been doing great for a while, or are you referring to how their products stack up against other worlds of computing like IBM SUN UNIX LINUX etc.?

sell it. they hold most of the markets of personal computing. what else do you think microsoft will do that can increase in value. they are constantly revising windows progams. if microsoft wants to grow they will need to hardware to support their growth.
