When do you apply your weed killer?

okay i didnt mow my lawn first...its not extremely high but it would be time to mow the lawn....so i applied the Weed B gone spray on my lawn..but i didnt mow my lawn before....are u supposed to mow ur lawn first then apply it?

Well, the lawn should be a little grown out, enough for you to see the weeds. If you mow the lawn, you cut the weed at the stalk and the spray won't get on the foliage (leaves). So, it won't be as effective.

The freshly cut leaves on the weeds will be more prone to the effects of the weed killer and the spray will not have to kill off so much foliage before it can attack the root. Be sure to read the instructions for application especially regarding watering after application.
