Most have been mentioned, but Maria, Amelia, Emilia, Emelina and Matilda would be the most common full names to use Mia as a nickname.

Maria
Mimi
Mylena
Rosamia
Rosamaria

And so on.

Suffice to say, since Mia is a short for Maria, many short names and middle names that fit with Maria probably can be use on Mia.

First, a last name would be helpful as names, to sound well, must flow. My favorite is Mia Isabella but Mia Isabella Jackson does not flow where as Mia Isabella Fallinie does. You get the idea.

Most importantly though is that if you wish your daughter to be called Mia throughout her life you need to do what I did - My daughter's name is Jacqueline. I love her name. When I enrolled her in school or any other program or introduced her to friends or others I said her name is Jacqueline and I would appreciate it if they would respectfullyt use it instead of a short version such as Jackie. I also instilled in my daughter the fact that her name is Jacqueline - a powerful, unique and special name. One not to be reduced to something society thinks is better - normal or common. People reduce names because they wish to make everything common.

My first name is Clinton and I refuse to allow someone to be lazy and disrespectful and call me Clint. I wasn't named Clint and glad of it. (Clinton's my first name, lol.) If my name were Mathew I would insist on being called Mathew and not Mat. Why reduce a person's name to something common for everyone else's sake. If I had named my daughter Mia Isabella I would insist, at the very minimum, she be referred to as Mia but would much prefer Mia Isabella. Our children are unique and need to be taught that they are so. When we teach them to fit into the norm or crowd is when wew stunt their growth - their abillity to be unique and inovative.

By the way, my daughter, Jacqueline, insists she be addressed as Jacqueline and besides working for a prominant government official, she is often saught out by NASA for some out of the box thinking and she's only 23 years old.

Eufemia - that's a Latina name, and I think a beautiful one. One, nickname is Fem, but Mia works, too.

Also, Mia can be a name all by itself.

Mia is the Scandinavian pet form of Maria, so that would fit perfectly. You could also consider:

MEADE m & f English
From an English surname which indicated one who lived on a meadow (from Middle English mede) or one who sold or made mead (an alcoholic drink made from fermented honey; from Old English meodu).

MEADHBH f Irish, Irish Mythology
Variant of MEDB

MEADOW f English
Simply means "meadow" from the English word... [more]

MEAGAN f English
Variant of MEGAN

MEAGHAN f English
Variant of MEGAN

MEALLÁN m Irish
Possibly means "lightning" in Irish Gaelic.

MEAVE f Irish
Variant of MAEVE

Why don't you just name her Mia? You don't need to have a full name to call her that. Mia Rose sounds nice...

I like Mia just as it is, add a middle name and call her by both together, as...Mia Lynne or Mia Brie.
