(Besides answering alot of questions)
Because I skimmed over someone's name and it said they were on Level 3, with less points than me, and they had a Top Contributer badge! And then there was another Top Contributer, and they had 20,000 points. How many points does it take?!

There is a correct answer for the question you've asked. Look at the top of the page (?help)right hand corner click, then stroll to your question located under(ANSWER BADGES) click there, then on the next page on the left side you'll see answers badges.You will have your answer why They receive top CONTRIBUTOR BADGES.

The percentage of their best answers is the one that determines who deserves to be a Top Contributor or not.
It's not the amount of points that you get by answering questions.

As someone earlier said, you need 10% TOTAL best answers (all categories), then you'll get a badge for whatever category you answer most in.

It isnt a matter of points, you just have to have a 20% best answer or greater.
