Paul!!! EASY WORK? How long have you been a radiologic technologist? Try getting a cassette under a 400 pound unconscious trauma patient. Or try taking skull x-rays of a kicking and screaming 2 year old. You have no idea what we have to do.

And earfulofbs: We don't fix the equipment.

An x ray technician is a machine operator. You aim the
X Ray machine at the specified body part then tell the
patient not to move. Sometimes use a protective shield
over parts of the patient not being X rad. You leave the room, press the button which turns the machine on. Only takes a moment &
the x-ray is done. You go back in the room, tell the
patient its done & escort them out. Then you take the X ray
film & put it into a machine for developing. The newer
x ray machines don't even use x ray film any more.
Its all digitial computer. Easy work.

They X ray you. You know X ray stuff that sees your bones so you doctor can see if there is a broken bone or not. They look after that stuff and operate and fix the equipment.

RadTech- I wasn't sure if you guys do fix them, but I know you guys operate a x-ray machine. Thanks for letting me know.
