um i bought this makeup set about 2 years ago, but i never used it. can i start using it now? if i use it now, will it affect my face..in a bad way?

As long as you haven't opened it or let someone use it it should very well be fine to use - unless it's a cheap set of makeup.
But if you're wanting to be on the safe side I would just suggest you cut your losses and buy yourself some new makeup.

Mmmmm im not sure it depend whats in it and the ingredients used, Have a look on the bottom and see how long it lasts. If it doesnt say then i would throw it away, unless its sealed in clear wrap and has never been opened. You could try using it, if it effect your face or give your a rash of some sort stop using it immediatly.
Remember to remove all make up before you sleep, as it clogs pore and leaves you with spots and blackheads!

You shouldn't use makeup after 6 months due to bacterial growth, but I've used mine up to a year and never had any issues. Two years is really pushing it, though.

YES!!! You shouldn't have makeup no more than 6 months. After that it's not good. The makeup should have this different smell. Eyeshadow you might use if it doesn't smell funny.

Well I wouldn't recommend you use it! Most makeup goes bad after 6months to a year, so trash it to risk bacteria getting onto your face and whatnot.

Makeup does have a shelf life. Smell it sometimes makeup can have an old smell to it, especially lip stick.

I would throw it out and start over. You aren't suppose to use make-up after a while. I guess it goes bad. In fact your suppose to change the make-up applier every week and mascara every month.

Sometimes I push the envelope on how long I use my make-up, but I think 2 years is WAY too long.

Depends on what's in it.
Have you opened it at all? Used ANY product?
Mascara and liquid liner are only good for three months after you open them.
Plain powder shadows, blushes, and face powder are good if they haven't been used.
Cream shadows, blushes, and glosses are good if sealed.

no, it is fine to use you are suppose to throw it away after 2-3 months because it can store bacteria
