I noticed nearly 300 pounds taken out of my account.
I questioned this in my branch. They looked into it and asked me if I remember the transaction, which read on my statement 'ROSO pmt cc' . They later told me it was an error and credited me, but did nt go into detail. Any ideas.
Thanks

'cc' may have been a credit card payment (pmt) by some-one called ROSO .....

Do you use on-line banking ?

Have you used the 'funds transfer' (or 'bill payment' or whatever it's called) to pay your bills on-line ?

You know it asks you for Sort Code and Account Number (only) ?

Well people sometimes miss-type the account number ...

The bank only checkes that the 'destination' account exists - so if they entered you a/c no. by mistake you get their payment ...

Can't venture much in your particular situation but I have had sensitive information (pin numbers and access codes for online banking) belonging to other customers sent to my home. Banks such as yours often hide behind some obtuse reasons for their shortcomings which quite frankly isn't good enough.
BTW did you ask to be compensated for the inconvenience? If you didn't you should!

What does it matter - you got it back didn't you. Don't you have anything else to worry about. I got plenty I could share with you.
