My first car was a 1967 dodge pickup. I was born in September of 1966 and my dad bought it right after I was born. I lived on a farm 5 miles form a very small town in Nevada and as long as you didn't drive on Asphalt the sherif didn't care if you drove without a licence. I was about 10 or eleven when my dad gave me the keys and said "It's all yours".

We left it behind when we moved back to California when I was 17. A friend of mine went by the old place about a year ago and said the truck was still there.

My last one was a Mitsubishi truck and I had that trouble free for eight years, then this Chevvy Blazer, again trouble free going on eight years now. It's still like new and I just had a serious major tune up with everything gone over, I intend to keep it as long as possible. I put new Michlin tires on it every three years. I run "Mobile one" oil in it twice a year. Never miss. It has 140 K on it.

1971 Chevelle. I had it almost 17 years or so, until the body rusted off. I think it had over 200,000 miles on it. I really liked that car. I do have my dad's 1961 F-100 pick up truck. It still runs! If it counts, I still have my 1978 motorcycle. I got it used in '79.

We bought a new VW with sunroof & flip-out turn signals in 1955...silver-blue with dark blue interior...and drove it daily until 1967...followed it by a Volvo stationwagon which lasted until 1979. Don't ask about the Mazda rotary which followed...it should have been buried at a crossroads with a stake driven thru its transmission.

Let's see, I bought a 93 Plymouth Voyager van in 2000...still have it with over 2,000 miles on it. I had a 1985 Suzuki Intruder 700cc motorcycle that I kept until 1994 with over 90,000 miles on it. That's about it.
