How much you think it's worth?

It wouldn't be worth much more than a nickel now but hang on to it for a while and the value will likely go up. You didn't give us an exact date leaving us to assume your nickel is a '47.

Your best bet would be to take your coin to a local coin dealer. They will be able to tell you so much more by evaluation the condition of the coin. They will also know the amount minted and what it is going for in today's market.

Try posting pictures on this website (there are many coin experts here that can help you evaluate it - there also may be people willing to buy if you are trying to sell):

Nothing special about a 1947 nickel...Wartime nickels were made with silver however the 47 nickel is worth about a quarter in very fine condition...if you can find a buyer...

When it comes to coinage 60 years is not a long time. Mintage's of nickels really started to climb after 1939. The 1947 nickel has a mintage of 95,000,000. It can still be found in change.
