In his farewell address, George Washington warned the United States against several things. These issues now dominate the US government and have created countless problems for the US in the past and the present.

Washington warned against the dangers of a two party system and of foreign entaglments.

Yes, along with the framers of the constitution, and millions of other people who have given or sacrificed in some way to allow this country to grow and remain strong.

First off if you have a one party system it is easy to become a dictatorship. With only one party nobody else can challenge them. The two party system keeps the party in power in check. And on foreign entanglements we've tried isolation before and it didn't work out so well. So no offense to old Georgy but he was wrong on those points.

Keep in mind that Washington said these things more than 200 years ago... back then the U.S. could hide behind the oceans on either side of it... we tried to stay out of "foreign entanglements" in the 1930s and Hitler wound up conquering most of Europe and killing six million Jews (not to mention the Japanese)... more recently our governments ignorance of the threat posed by international terrorist groups like Al Qaeda led to the events of 9/11... In a world where ICBMs can be launched at targets anywhere in the world and deliver thermonuclear payloads within a few hours you have no choice but to be involved in "foreign entanglements"...

and his contracts (no settler will cross the mississippi)
were broken as well -still he would not be proud of the
smirking chimp, he still had some pride, I think.
