As an intelligent Shareholder you should be aware that there is method in Tesco's madness. It will do wonders locally for Tesco's image. May ultimately even mean more dosh for you.

but what would you do with the extra dosh? You would only spend it on fried eggs and bacon. So in the end you live much healthier and longer when the Tesco share drops.

No, it's what's known as a loss leader.
They sell or give away a small number of products at a loss in order to intice people in to the stores, then use clever marketing (like the smell of bread and stuff) to get them to buy expensive things they don't need, at a massive mark up.

The solution is in your own hands. Attend the next A.G.M. and make your feelings known. Presumably the guarantee of looking an absolute twonk won't worry you!
Incidentally, it should be "should have" and not "should of" and "what's wrong" with......

I'd be livid if i had shares in them, you should call for the chairman's job resignation. Its this sort of shoddy mis management thats brought our once great nation to its knees.

They didn't give them away. They swapped them for advertising (on the news, no less - brilliant market penetration) and goodwill.
A worthwhile investment in my opinion.
